	Shamshad Begum (April 14, 1919 -- April 23, 2013) was one of the first playback singers of Hindi Cinema. She started her career with All India Radio and ended up in bollywood. She is credited with many a great songs from films like Mughal-e-Azam, Patanga, CID, Aaar Paar, Mother India, Naya Daur and many more.
